Wild Bills Fight Night 2: May 12, 2006 in Duluth, GA – This fight took place right before the Clodfelfter-Rhodes rematch. A couple of months before, I was coming off my first submission victory over Jason Hathaway. In that fight, I came out with a sword and green hair. In this fight, I took it a step further and came out with two Hooters girls and James Brown’s Living in America playing as my intro song. The entrance might have been the best part of the whole fight.
Timothy “Kanrock” Williams was just a guy who fought anybody. Before me, he had fought Chael Sonnen, Keith Rockel, Charles McCarthy, the late Bernard Rutherford, and Jim Abrille. This fight was a painful one. I planned on using my stand-up skills in this fight since I did come from a boxing background, but I had to scratch that plan after Kanrock fractured my shoulder with the first kick at the very beginning of the fight. After that kick, I became a one arm fighter. I did use my right arm as something to latch on to for executing takedowns.
Had I known that my shoulder was fractured, I would have quit at the very beginning of the fight, but I guess ignorance is bliss. Enjoy the classic entrance. Watch the one of the Hooters girls try to rush me out to the ring, but I wouldn’t go. My flashy entrance wasn’t going to be denied.
