It’s been a couple of days since I’ve started logging my meals.  This is what I’ve had this week:

Monday 3/19/12
Breakfast – Cereal with Lowfat Milk, Water, Grapefruit Juice
Lunch – Pasta, Steak, Pork Tenderloin, Squash, Zucchini, Asparagus, Pretzels
Dinner – Steak, Pork Tenderloin, Squash, Asparagus, Water, 2-3 Spoonfuls of Sorbet
Tuesday 3/20/12
Breakfast – Scrambled Eggs, Grapefruit Juice
Lunch – Jerk Chicken, Yellow Rice, Black Beans, Roll
Snack – Reese’s, Pretzels
Dinner – Steak, Pasta, Asparagus, Squash
Wednesday 3/21/12
Breakfast – Special K with Lowfat Milk, Grapefruit Juice, Water
Lunch (cheat meal #1) – 12 Hot Wings, Bagel with Cream Cheese, Monster Energy Drink
Snack – Gatorade
Dinner (cheat meal #2) – 8 Hot Wings, Pasta, Bagel with Cream Cheese, Gatorade

 

When I got lean in 2009, I gave myself four cheat meals a week. I also ate six times a day.  Looking at this log, I’m a little off the mark.

Changing the subject, I grappled for the first time at Unit 2 Fitness in almost two weeks.  I’ve had to take some time off working out due to a staph infection and a pinched nerve in my neck.  The staph infection is pretty much gone since I have been taking antibiotics for it for more than a week. However, the pinched nerve is still there.  My right index finger is partially numb.  Right now, I’m seeing Dr. Jason Weeks, a chiropractor in Marietta, GA, to see if he can take care of it.  So far so good.  After one session with him, my neck is feeling better than it has in more than a week.

I felt extremely dehydrated and fatigued grappling tonight, but the team at Unit 2 always push me past my limits.  Maybe I’m no longer in shape after taking a week off or maybe the antibiotics dehydrated me.  I drank a couple of Gatorades after training.  Hopefully, that will make a difference tomorrow.
